The Family Rain performed at Dot to Dot Festival 2013. Watch exclusive live footage, including a interview, below.
The Family Rain is comprised of twins Tim and Will and older brother Olly who have played music together since being kids, their songs written in the basement of their parents home in Bath where they holed themselves up for ten months. They combine fuzzed out guitars with big drums topped by a bluesy vocal snarl reminiscent of Cold War Kids or Jack White. The bands first single 'Trust Me... I'm A Genius' was released in November 2012 on Bigger Splash Recordings which won them a devoted following. The band will soon be heading into the studio with Arctic Monkeys producer Jim Abbiss to work on tracks for their debut album.
The single 'Carnival' was out March 18th on Bigger Splash Recordings. It was recorded as a demo in the boys basement where they rehearse and captures the raw energy of their sound.
Marking the release, the band played their first London headline show at the Sebright Arms as well as supporting The Courteeners and Willy Moon on tour.
