Willy Mason

Country indie rock at its finest

Friday 18th May 2012

2011 was a huge year for Willy Mason. Following on from a hugely successful SXSW and two sold out dates at Hoxton Bar + Kitchen, Willy Mason returns to the UK for numerous festival appearances and headline shows throughout the summer, including a performance at Dot to Dot Festival 2011.

After a five-year hiatus, Mason announced the completion of his third studio record in February 2012. The album was recorded over the course of 2011 in south London with producer Dan Carey (MIA, Hot Chip, Franz Ferdinand). To mark his return, he offered fans a taster with free download ‘Restless Fugitive’.

'The album itself is about growing up and trying to find one's place' Mason says. 'I think of this record as the third and final chapter to a particular narrative that started with Where the Humans Eat'

Mason has also been confirmed as main support to Ben Howard on an extensive 19-date November UK tour.
