Bristol, indie-rock outfit The Jacques return with their latest single, its title a fun play on words, ‘Eleanor Ring Me’ (released 19 May 2016 through Vegan Cyanide).
With comparisons to early Stone Roses and Sonic Youth, this British four-piece have already seen themselves at SXSW, Glastonbury and Hyde Park with this latest release soon to take them even further afield.
Matching the catchy guitar riffs and indie sensibility of iconic Brit bands like Blur with their own sense of humour, their latest single ‘Eleanor Ring Me’ sums up the band’s overall sound in one easy to digest two-and-a-half minute track. The snarling and sarcastic vocals of frontman Fin gives the single a post-modern punk ethos that highlights this band’s intentions to a tee. Sharp, witty and most of all memorable from start to finish, ‘Eleanor Ring Me’ is a statement from a band that know exactly how they want to be seen.
With a number of festival appearances planned for the Summer, including Dot to Dot 2016 and plans to start writing their debut album on the horizon, The Jacques are soon to become one of this year’s most in-demand new acts.
