03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Old-fashioned, Mod, sharp.

The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?

Fatboy Slim - The Rockafeller Skank - Short Edit

After playing Fifa 99, when I was a kid, I couldn't stop listen to this song for months.

A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?

Pulp - Pink Glove

Jarvis Cocker lyrics are always shameless and so intense, this album is full of that and I love the way Jarvis talk about every aspect of love in his songs.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Portishead - Roads

Mexico City, 2011. Soft light, stunning visuals and Portishead for the first time in Mexico.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

New Order - Sub-culture - 2015 Remaster

This song is crazy, full of New Order sound. It sends me to the eighties and beyond.

A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?

The Good, the Bad & the Queen - Ribbons

Not exactly new, but that's an album I'm still obsessed with.

Best song to turn up loud? And why?

Talking Heads - Psycho Killer - 2005 Remaster

The beat gets better every time you play this song.

A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?

Charly García - Nos Siguen Pegando Abajo

He will never know but Charly García was my mentor when I was a teenager and I was discovering music and a tribe to belong to.

An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?

The Jam - Going Underground

It seems that the world is making the same mistakes that it made in the seventies. A song about the stupidity of world leaders and the struggle of the youth.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Wilco - Impossible Germany

This song reminds me about other times. A good kind of nostalgia is nice way to end a party and remember those who aren't here right now. Also, I find its riffs so chilling!
