03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Clobber Family Music.

The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?

Arctic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor

As soon as I heard this song and this band that was it! Hooked ever since.

A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?

The Beatles - Happiness Is A Warm Gun - Remastered 2009

Not a playlist without a Beatles track, this is a great tune on probably my favourite Beatles album.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Blossoms - Your Girlfriend

Recent gig I’ve been too and they opened with this one. Tom’s a quality frontman and seemed well up for it and his dancing got the crowd going too!

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

The Jam - Town Called Malice

Who doesn’t want to get up and dance to this? Absolute classic.

A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?

The Mysterines - Gasoline

Love this band. Proper energy and would love to see them live.

Best song to turn up loud? And why?

IDLES - Never Fight A Man With A Perm

Depending on the mood but the louder the better for this song!

A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?

blink-182 - First Date

Probably this band and album, growing up as a skateboarder this song definitely got a good few listens.

An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?

Small Faces - All Or Nothing

Such an underrated band. My dad played this to me and couldn’t stop listening to it. Steve Marriott has to be the one of the greatest singers of all time? Powerful vocals.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

The Killers - Mr. Brightside

Many nights have ended with this belting out.
