What do you do?
I work at the Fred Perry Shop Tokyo.
Where are you from?
Japan via England.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Kink - at a full on night at Fabric, London. That Roland TR-909 beat kicked in and the crowd went up a gear.
Which subcultures have influenced you?
It was the clubbing subculture. I scheduled all my classes at University so I could spend as much time as I could in fantastic clubs. The outside smoking areas were great too. You know, they say the greatest conversation you will ever have is with a stranger?
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Horsepower Productions - they are very underground but definitely not ones to miss out on. A pioneer of UK dubstep - he releases new music but with a nod to his heritage.

How did you select the songs for this playlist?
I wanted to celebrate the UK club culture that I experienced through my life.
The first track you played on repeat?
'Little L' by Jamiroquai. One of the very first CDs I ever bought.
A song that defines the teenage you?
'Witness (1 Hope)' by Roots Manuva.
One record you would keep forever?
That is 'Jah Rule' by Rhythm & Sound feat. Tikiman.
Best song to turn up loud?
'Next Hype' by Tempa T.
