A Dizzy Fae Photo
Name, where are you from?
I’m from the Twin Cities in Minnesota, home of the big star, Midwest's baddest, cutie pie, thickems, slop top never stop but will tell you to hush Dizzy Fae.
Describe your style in three words?
I would describe my style as sexy, masculine, comfy, effective, your mom and father want me but I'm loving myself too much. I wear every outfit out my house as if it were my last.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
To be honest the first tour I went on I watched Lizzo perform every night with the same hyped energy. Every show she would play 'Phone' and I definitely f*cked with that.
If you could be on the line-up with any two artists in history?
The person to pop in my head is Prince because I feel like if I went on tour with him 1. He would believe in me 2. I would basically be performing to Prince every night and 3. I would hope he would challenge me to be a better performer WAIT and 4. I would absolutely make music with him. Tagging along with us would be Janet Jackson and it's for every same reason. They’re both some of my favourite performers. Part of me wants to know what my music would sound like back in the '30s or '40s and I would hope to go on tour with Billie Holiday.
Which subcultures have influenced you?
I'm going to be completely honest with you, not sure how to answer this. I really enjoy the neo- of things but when I think about where my influence comes from it's really whatever I want to put together and see on my body.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
I want to talk to some goddesses like Aphrodite or Athena. They’re love and wisdom, I don’t know that seems like all I need in this human sh*t haha might as well go with a bang.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Odd to me that we have a different name for ‘Hero’ for men and women… lame. I would say Angela Bassett. She is everything.
