Describe your style in three words?
Portuguese Street Kid.
The first track you played on repeat?
Xutos & Pontapés - Nunca Fui
I bought it as a k7 when it first came out somewhere at the beginning of the 1990s. Then I got the CD years later and finally the LP. I played it on repeat at different times of my life, it's all about not worrying and not trying to be the best in anything.
A song from your favorite album?
The Clash - Death or Glory - Remastered
People say they don't have a favourite album. I do and I don't hesitate to say it's 'London Calling'. It was always there since I remember and it keeps making sense. This song is a lesson in philosophy, sociology, religion and politics.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Eddie & The Hot Rods - Do Anything You Wanna Do
Watching a band like this in my country the middle of nowhere, just a few years before the death of Barrie Masters, made it memorable. For me, for the few who were there and for those who missed it and still regret it.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
The Vibrators - Whips and Furs
It's automatic. It doesn't matter if it's playing at home, at a bar or in the car. It makes me jump and try to dance.
A new song you're listening to?
Victor Torpedo - Emotions
Because it's new and because Victor is the coolest guy in the worldwide music scene. If you don't know him search for his bands like The Parkinsons, 77 or Tédio Boys.
Best song to turn up loud?
Ramones - Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World - 2016 Remaster
Always fast and loud. Because if it's loud and not fast, it's boring.
A song that defines the teenage you?
Stiff Little Fingers - Nobody's Hero
Being a working class kid in a small town in the ass of Europe, during the 1990s, made me and lot's of kids like me become our own heroes. It would be stupid to have heroes that knew nothing about our life. It still is.
An anthemic song?
Sham 69 - If The Kids Are United
The choice is obvious. I had the chance of listening to it in different places and different people and the feeling is always the same. Kids will always be kids. The age doesn't matter.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Specials - You're Wondering Now - 2002 Remaster
I would say "best song to end anything" it doesn't matter if it's a long night, a friendship, a 20-year marriage or even life.
