Describe your style in three words?
Eclectic, street, smart
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
Ms. Lauryn Hill - Ex-Factor
My mum used to rinse this album when I was a kid. I've got a distinct memory of listening to this on the way back from Legoland.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Burial - Raver
I was blown away when this came out. I had never heard something that banged so hard and carried so much emotional weight. I feel like this is 'the album' of my generation.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Title Fight - Rose of Sharon
Me and my mate saw them at Thekla, a boat venue in Bristol. They played an incredible set and played all our old favourites, even though they were touring a new album and we had a nice chat with them outside after the show.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Hodge - Light Waves
Quintessential Bristol techno, ruff and ready. Ain't nobody standing still when this gets dropped, trust me!
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
E B U - Light Show
I saw her perform this live before I knew who she was and It was so hypnotic. Very interesting use of melody and rhythm, I'd never heard anything like it before.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Boy Harsher - Motion
This one always goes on just before we're about to leave before heading to a club. It's infectiously danceable, you can't really play it quiet.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Fugazi - Reclamation
I moved out when I was quite young, maybe 16 or 17 and I lived in a house with a bunch of mates I met through skateboarding and music. We always listened to this album together and this song always brings back memories of skating in the sun.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
Ranking Dread - Super Star
This will nice up any dance. Ranking Dread's signature half singing, half chatting work so well with the music and I can't help but sing along and sway to this.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
O$VMV$M - Oasis Weir
Everything these guys have made is perfect for those transitional moments, whether it's on the bus home from work, or at 7AM after a night of non stop dancing.
