Your favourite film ever?

Stand By Me was the film I watched on repeat as a kid. I hadn't seen a film like it and it still stands tall above the rest for me. It makes me reminisce not only the feeling a classic film gives you, but reminiscing about my own childhood. What friendship means to you at that age. Me and my mates had a lot of fun and adventures back then, you could walk the streets, no technology to distract you. Spontaneous times. To me there was no fault to this film, it made you laugh, cry. The actors were flawless and the soundtrack was perfectly placed. Stand by Me by Ben E. King, of course that’s my favourite song of the film.

If you could play the role of any female musician - who would it be?

No hesitation. Karen Carpenter. It's no secret I'm a huge Carpenters fan. I watched a film about The Carpenters as a kid, when the film came to the end and I found out Karen had died I was so upset. The lyrics and the way Karen sings will always strike a chord with me, we've all been heart broken or felt on top of the world. There is no other artist that has that effect on me from one whole album. She performed with raw emotion and spoke with true class.

I really don’t have a favourite song, they all mean something different to me at different times…but Rainy Days and Monday's was my favourite as a kid and lets face it who likes Rainy days and Mondays.

You can spend an hour with anyone from history - who would that be?

Bob Marley. He died before I was born, I know people that saw him live and I can only imagine what that was like. Growing up I played his music all the time. Still do. If I could sit on a beach with Bob, whilst he played 'Is This Love' and any other songs of his choice I wouldn’t need to ask him anything. I'd be in paradise.

Which British Subculture means the most to you?

It would have to be Northern Soul. I'm always first to the dance floor, if you're not tapping your foot to Frank Wilson 'Do I Love You' we can't be friends! Uplifting music that feeds the soul and makes you dance like no one's watching.
