03Interview

Name, where are you from?
Bosco, I'm from Savannah Ga by the way of Atlanta.

Describe your style (dress sense) in three words?
Quirky, Tomboy, Femme-Chic.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
The best show I've attended was Tame Impala. I've been a fan of them for so long my expectations we're high and they totally delivered. It was the best shroom experience.

If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
Radiohead and Frank Ocean. I feel like these artists both personify who I am as an artist. They are from two different worlds but also very similar approaches to music and songwriting.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Dub reggae, Skate culture, Anime and Food Enthusiast.
All of these subcultures influence my art in a way that allows me to process information differently. For example, I love cooking and it brings out a certain quality of life exploring different foods and spices that traditionally wouldn't go together. I cook with my heart and lean into my intuition for what feels right and typically the dish comes out amazing. Skating is the same. You know you're going to fall, it's to be expected but skating has taught me to fail successfully and that's the only way you're going to get better.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Sun Ra, he's the God no need to explain. He was tapped into a different frequency. He was already in 2020 in the 1970s. He was far ahead of the curve.

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
Vienna Operahouse. It was my first international sold-out show so this place will always have a special place in my heart plus it was an OPERAHOUSE!

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Myself. l feel like I've been contributing to the landscape of music for a long time but never could really see the effect my music and art has had on culture until recently. People always say "People sleep on you" or "I wish you were more famous" but honestly success looks different for me these days. I think some people are made to be a bright light that eliminates through time for longevity so the universe preserves them for the earth and I feel I fall somewhere in that spectrum.
