Fred Perry Quarterly
Issue 04 21

November 2021

The latest issue of the Fred Perry Quarterly is out now. Here’s what you can expect from our final instalment for 2021.

The Fred Perry Shirt has been adopted by generations for nearly 70 years, and our Laurel Wreath continues to bring together like-minded people. Meet some new additions to our community, from writers and musicians, to our very own shop staff, all sporting the Fred Perry shirt.

We take a design ‘From the Archive’ in our new series and examine some of our most special pieces and the individuals who wore them best. This quarter, we revive an original 1970s jumper, which was immortalised by Spanish Olympic skier Francisco Fernández Ochoa - aka ‘The Spanish Enigma’.

Continuing Fred’s sporting legacy, the Fred Perry Championship returned to the Brentham Club for 2021. We congratulate all those who took part and look forward to a bright sporting future for our winners.

As we look back on 10 years of the Amy Winehouse Foundation, those that knew Amy best have come together to create something truly special. Amy Winehouse: Beyond Black is a collection of essays and stories from Amy’s friends and peers. On page 26 you can enjoy an extract from the book – out now by Thames and Hudson.

Our exciting collaboration series with Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY continues, with an all-glitter collection inspired by the nu-rave scene which dominated Jeffrey’s student years in London.

And finally, after a year strictly in the digital realm, it was above all a relief to be back at the 100 Club for our annual new music festival All Our Tomorrows. Read on for a taster of what went down over the three-day event.

As always, you can pick up the latest Fred Perry Quarterly from your local Fred Perry shop, or receive one free with online orders. Until next time…
