Describe your style in three words?

Classic yet unique.

The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?

Gomez - Tijuana Lady

The album was one that my parents played all the time when I was wee. This is track 05 and every time it was my turn to pick a CD (usually in the early hours of the morning, when the adults couldn't be bothered moving) at their house parties this was my album of choice.

A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?

The Amazing Snakeheads - Where Is My Knife?

This isn't my favourite album because I play it all the time, which I guess is why it's so special to me. Dale Barclay made the Scottish accent something unbelievably cool, through his deep menacing vocal and beautiful yet striking music behind.

A song from your most memorable gig?

The Pogues - The Wild Rover

I was 16 and it was my first trip away from Glasgow with mates to see The Libertines and The Pogues. We lost our pal and ran around the streets near Hyde Park screaming his name, then he turned a corner in the biketaxi screaming our names and asking for a fiver to pay the man.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy

It's just an absolute cracker, I don't believe anyone could stay still whilst it's playing. The words are amazing too, singing about the struggles of sexuality whilst living in a small suburban town.

A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?

The Murder Capital - For Everything

There are so many great bands releasing amazing music at the moment! However these guys must be at the top of any list when talking about recent releases. This has to be one of the best debut albums in a good while. Also, just lovely sound boys.

Best song to turn up loud? And why?

The Horrors - Who Can Say

I'll listen to this anywhere and everywhere. it combines two of my favourite artists, The Horrors and Rowland S. Howard. the genius of lifting the words from Rowland's song 'She Cried' and plonking it right in the middle of this song... YES.

A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?

Oasis - Stay Young

Just kicking about being a wee bam and thinking I was the coolest cat there was. Wearing a parka in the middle of summer with the dessies//buttoned down collared gingham shirt//v-neck knitwear - don't forget the ultimate swagger.

An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?

White Lies - Death

As soon as that Pre-chorus//Chorus hits there is nothing like it. What a tune. the whole songs builds and releases some amount of energy.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

The Cure - A Forest - Tree Mix

The full mixed up album is a topper, dancier versions of all The Cure bangers, yes please.
