Name, what do you do?
Jess “HUTCH” Hutchinson, I’m the co-founder and run FOH at No Sleep Club.

Describe your style in three words?
Comfy, casual, (a lil bit of) sparkle.

What does the Fred Perry Shirt mean to you?
If I’m being honest, I reckon Fred Perry was one of the first collared t-shirts I bought for myself when I started shopping for myself and realised I could wear “boys” clothes.

Which subcultures have had an enduring effect on you?
LGBTQ+, New Romantics, as a teenager even up to my early 20’s, the Scene Kids definitely were somehow intertwined into my figuring out who I was at the time as well.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
OOF, just one person? Freddie Mercury. I think he’s brilliant. Smart, charismatic, funny, and intelligent beyond his years and didn’t take himself too seriously.

Which music genre defines you?
Guilty pleasure is definitely bubblegum pop, if I’m in a bad mood - throw on some Britney Spears, some Spice Girls. Otherwise, I think my music taste jumps rather erratically. I can have Foo Fighters, Queen, Robyn, Snoop Dog, The Beatles, Kings of Leon, Phoenix, Martin Garrix, and sometimes even throw in some Tchaikovksy.

04Playlist Notes

A song lyric that has inspired you?
"You’ll sit alone forever if you wait for the right time"

From '23' by Jimmy Eat World.

Best song to turn up loud?
'Solar System' by Crystal Fighters.

Best song to end an all-nighter on?
'Dancing on my Own' by Robyn.

Any new music you are into at the moment?
Emmit Fenn, Haux, one of my teammates as well, is a musician and am loving the new content he’s putting out, Fudgy.
