Ghostpoet, real name Obaro Ejimiwe, is a producer-performer from London.
Skilled in lyric-crafting, he often covers subjects including the quirks and issues of city living, with new track 'Off Peak Dreams' taking much more of the latter approach. 'Off Peak Dreams' really grasps the feeling of bleakness and negativity which so many urban dwellers are currently experiencing in their daily grind.
The video was directed by Liam St Pierre, who was asked to make a film about the nature of city living, using the budget matching an average monthly salary in the UK, of £2068.
Ghostpoet recently announced he will be releasing new album Shedding Skin on 2nd March 2015.
Shedding Skin will see Ghostpoet develop beyond his solo production, recording with an actual traditional band set up; Joe Newman (guitar), John Calvert (bass) and John Blease (drums), unlike previous albums.
Taking the collaborative aspect even further on this forthcoming album, Shedding Skin will feature guest vocals from Nadine Shah, Etta Bond, Melanie De Biasio, Lucy Rose and Maxïmo Park's Paul Smith, something which has got the music industry and his fans very excited about hearing in its entirety.
