London four piece, Grass House are set to release a new free download single on the 16th of April 2013.
‘Spinning As We Turn’, recorded at Monnow Valley Studios in Wales with producer Jim Anderson (Cold Specks, The Twilight Sad, 2:54), is the follow up to last years ‘The Boredom Rose’ and is a taste of what to expect from the band’s debut album which is set for release later this year on their new home, Marshall Teller Records.
One of the many stand out tracks from the band’s live set, ‘Spinning As We Turn’ matches cascading cinematic guitars with a hypnotic rhythm section and see’s Grass House take a more sonic path and their Eno, Velvet Underground, Joe Meek, Phil Spector and The Walkmen influences really come to the fore. The Grass House line up of Liam Palmer, Steven Dove, Ross Hall and Nicholas Jones are set to announce the release of a new seven inch single and live dates in the next few months prior to the arrival of aforementioned debut album.
In the meantime, the band will play their brand of 'Outsider Pop' with younghusband at London's Babble Jar on Stoke Newington High Street on Thursday the 18th of April and will headline the ‘Best In Class’ night at the Old Queens Head on Thursday 9th of May 2013.
