Alternative singer-songwriter Archy Marshall AKA King Krule has been on the Fred Perry Subculture radar for a while now, with him headlining the March 2013 Sub-Sonic Live event, the footage of which you can view here
Having already released a number of highly acclaimed singles, King Krule has now released his debut LP '6 Feet Beneath the Moon', on August 24 2013 on True Panther / XL, following from his 2011 self-titled EP. Listen to the full album below, and the stream is also available on King Krule's website with live CCTV footage of various London streets to accompany each track.
The album as a whole is wrapped in concept - grimey, bleak and brutal sneering, soaked in anger, yet finding sweet relief in hedonistic indulgence. A musician whose ability to highlight the hypocracies and unfairness of life for the London youth, Archy perhaps has been influenced by the work of Billy Bragg, John Cooper Clark and other British protest artists.
'Easy Easy' is the lead track from album '6 Feet Beneath the Moon', and it is directed by Focus Creeps (Girls, Cold Cave, Arctic Monkeys and more). The video depicts the dystopian side of London as an urban background to those both enduring and revelling within this chaos.
