Recently brought to our attention, Helsinki songstress, Manna is venturing out of her native Finland and going further afield with the worldwide (digital) release of her album "Shackles", out now. Born in Paris to a Finnish mother and Algerian father, Manna spent much of her childhood traveling between France, Algeria and Finland, and, as one might expect, this nomadic upbringing is reflected in her music - a melting pot of Northern European pop and modern day alternative Americana.
In support of her launch on the world market, there is a particularly nice Free download of album track "Wishing Well" featuring the near legendary, musically multivalent, Mark Lanegan (Queens of The Stone Age, Screaming Tress). Indeed, the album displays further Palm Desert Scene DNA, being co-produced with acclaimed engineer/producer Alain Johannes (Arctic Monkeys, Queens of The Stone Age, Mark Lanegan, No Doubt, Desert Sessions).
