Dave Rowntree, from Colchester now living in London.

What do you do?
I’m the drummer in Blur, as well as being a DJ, songwriter, and criminal lawyer.

Describe your style in three words.
Never grow up.

What was the first song you played on repeat?
'I Want To Be Like You' from the Jungle Book. Still one of my favourite songs.

How should your music be listened to?
We sent some of our music on a probe to Mars - it should be listened to on other planets.

What do you miss about home when you’re on tour?
The people I love, and my telescope.

What British music icons inspire your sound today?
I grew up listening to The Beatles, Cream, Burt Bacharach, Stephane Grappelli and Oscar Peterson and Scott Walker. All incredibly inspirational musicians.
