I’m the singer in YONAKA.

Loud, Messy, Chaotic.

If you could make a record with anyone from history?
Prince (!) because he’s sassy, classy and makes you dance and cry at the same time.

What has been your all-time favourite gig?
MO, the female singer. I love her.

What British music icons inspire your sound today?
Amy Winehouse, The Arctic Monkeys, Led Zeppelin.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Jeff Buckley. He is a huge inspiration to me; his writing; his voice; his brain. He’s very interesting and beautiful to me.

Which British subculture means the most to you?
It’s a tear up between Punk and Glam Rock.

If you could share the bill with any British band in history?
Queen. 

What music did you listen to growing up?
Motown. The Marvelettes, The Shangri-La’s. All the girl groups. Love it.
