Blood Red Shoes & Pulled Apart By Horses cover each other's songs

Monday 21st January 2013

Covered Records is the new side-project conceived by the mind of Pulled Apart By Horses guitarist, James Brown.

The project will consist of a series of split 7 inch singles, with bands covering each others' songs on opposite sides. The first features Pulled Apart By Horses tackling Blood Red Shoes' "Heartsink", with the other side containing Blood Red Shoes' cover of PABH's "Get Off My Ghost Train". The single will be available from March 11th with the two tracks available digitally from April 11th. Check out a sample of both tracks below.

PABH's cover version of Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans" was one of the most blogged and talked about cover versions of 2012, and Covered Records looks set to produce some of the most interesting musical reworks that 2013 will witness.

Blood Red Shoes play Shepherd’s Bush Empire tomorrow (Tuesday 22nd January). It’s rumoured that Pulled Apart By Horses’ James Brown may join the band onstage.
