Bourbon Street Beat

Manchester rock 'n roll outfit

Friday 7th August 2015

Manchester trio Bourbon Street Beat are an exciting new rock 'n roll outfit, with a sound building on 50s and 60s influences as well as the alt indie sounds of more recent years. The band states their influences as including bands Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Band, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, as well as Rock’n’Roll legends like Elvis, Buddy Holly and Johnny Cash.

Their recent single 'Crossing On a Bend' and b-side 'She's His Woman' showcase this signature sound perfectly. 'Crossing on a Bend' was recorded at Blueprints Studios in Salford, engineered by Tim Thomas and mastered by Gary Hadfield.

The band formed in 2012 when Iain Hammond (vocals and guitar), Joe Morrison-Hay (bass) and Andy Mackenzie (drums) met at university. Their previous EP 'Knuckles of Brass' earned them a strong following in Manchester with this release set to spread the word even further.
