Connie Constance

Futuristic soul from emerging London vocalist

Monday 14th March 2016

At just 20 years old from North West London's (Watford to be exact) Connie Constance already possesses a hugely soulful vocal sensibility along with an optimistic youthful direction to her music and style that outshines many of her contemporaries.

Partnering with London producer Blue Daisy, Connie's vocals hover fantastically above unconventionally minimal electronic landscapes. The resulting combination, described as a blissed out urban dreamscape, is used to great effect on Connie Constance's debut EP 'In The Grass' (via Black Acre Records), which won support from Annie Mac, Huw Stephens, Giles Peterson and, perhaps most impressively of all, from Pharrell Williams. The solid three track EP includes the dreamily escapist song 'Stars' - watch the equally dreamy video below.

Connie's latest song 'Anwers' see her team up with Blue Daisy again. Connie explains her intent behind the song and the its title: “one person that knows all the answers for taking all your troubles away” going on to say “a kind of know it all' person, like they already know all the answers.” Listen to the track below:

Connie Constance is currently working on more new material and has been performing live with London band, The Expansions. We look forward to hearing more in 2016 and beyond.
