Name, where are you from?
We’re Emily 7, Kyle and Scott Bellew, two brothers from Tallaght, in Dublin.
What do you do?
We make loud music that you can sing along to.
Describe your style in three words?
Past. Present. Future.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Kyle: Brian Wilson, just hearing Pet Sounds live was an experience.
Scott: Fleetwood Mac, to see them live was unbelievable.
If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Arctic Monkeys in the early days, because they set the bar for every band since then, and Rod Stewart circa 1979, just imagine the after-parties.
Which subcultures have influenced you?
We think the '60s mod image was cool, but the attitude from '70s punk is where it was at.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Kyle: Howard Marx. (Mr.Nice) Imagine the stories.
Scott: Tony Wilson – a night with him in the Hacienda would be something else.
Of all the independent venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Whelans, it’s a ritual for any Irish musician. Anybody who is anybody has played there.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Jonny Brown – Twisted Wheel, this man has supported us many a time, criminally underrated, top lyricist, and a genuinely nice bloke.
