British vocalist / producer-performer Ghostpoet's first album, 'Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam', was shortlisted for the 2011 Mercury Prize, and now his third and most recent album, 'Shedding Skin', is once again shortlisted for the presigious award, in 2015.
With roots in the early Grime scenes, Obara Ejimiwe, aka Ghostpoet, emerged with his own style of more laid back, spoken word delivery overlaying sophisticated melodies and percussive production.
Fred Perry Subculture hosted a sold out Sub-Sonic Live event back in March 2013 at The Garage, London, which featured a live performance from King Krule, and a very special DJ set from Ghostpoet himself. Watch our exclusive interview from the event below.
