Our favourite disco/funk expert, Greg Wilson, along with cohort Derek Kaye, has remixed the lead single from Joan As Police Woman's new album 'The Classic' (out now). Wilson and Kaye have put some funk in the trunk on 'Holy City', a track which already exhibited a good deal of Motown beat and soul. Listen to the superb result below:

The original Motown flavoured version of the song is accompanied by a cleverly repetitive video, and features contribution from rapper, Reggie Watts.
The video sees Joan Wasser taking the female part in a series of American TV clichés, from country hoedown to chat show to disco to 60s sit-com/drama and back again, before Watts' rap introduces a glitch into the system.
A UK tour has been confirmed for April/May, plus two low-key shows in March.
