Introducing - Forest

Wednesday 17th July 2013

Not to be confused with the Grimsby based, sixties prog-rock band of the same name, Forest are a Cambridge new music scene five-piece raised under the influence of bands such as Dinosaur Jr, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Teenage Fanclub and Sonic Youth.

Wearing their influences unashamedly on their baggy jumper sleeves, their references to such indie royalty, from both sides of the Atlantic, has scored them high praise from the likes of Pitchfork, The 405 and Fake DIY, resulting in their "Sweetcure EP" being heralded as one of the best indie debut releases of 2013.

Watch their lo-fi minimal video for EP track "The Great Greens" below:

A follow up EP is planned for the Autumn, along with a UK tour.
