Jake Bugg has just revealed the video to newly recorded track 'Broken', out on July 29 on Mercury Records, which can be viewed below. It was re-recorded with the legendary producer Rick Rubin, who has worked with Beastie Boys and Johnny Cash, at his Malibu studio, where the 19-year-old from Nottingham has been working on his second album.
Broken is a re-recording of a track from his first album, but is slower, fuller, and full of emotion.
Jake Bugg has rocketed to fame in the past year, going from playing indie festival Dot to Dot Festival in Spring 2013, to a No.1 debut album, supporting The Stone Roses at a legendary secret gig in London, touring with Noel Gallagher in the UK and Europe, and appearing on Jools Holland. He will support The Rolling Stones in London this July with Primal Scream and The View. The Nottingham lad has managed to effortlessly straddle the gap between authenticity and mainstream appeal. Standing starkly apart from the Brit School blinkered view that the singer songwriter scene has suffered from in recent years.
