The London Int'l Ska Festival launched in 1988 and celebrates all things ska, from its roots in rhythm and blues, mento and calypso, through its Jamaican originators and onto rocksteady, reggae, dub, 2 Tone, ska-punk and beyond.
Attracting fans and artists from around the globe, over the years the festival has hosted some true icons - Don Letts, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, The Pioneers, Dave & Ansel Collins, Prince Buster, The Beat, Rhoda Dakar, Bad Manners, various members of The Specials and Special AKA + many, many more.
Despite being well loved and attended by fans the world over, the London Intl Ska Festival is in danger of not continuing. The festival's founder and runner, Sean Flowerdew has some amazing plans for next years 30th Anniversary but needs your help to do it.
So with that in mind, he has launched the London Intl Ska Festival's patron scheme.
