My Heart the Brave is the solo-project of Danish producer Caspar Hesselager.
For several years he has been working with numerous Danish bands, but has recently turned his focus to bringing his own music to life.
Originally a trained classical pianist, he later on substituted the piano for a computer, synthesizers, samplers and drum machines.
My Heart the Brave draws inspiration from bands such as European pop/electronic acts Moderat, Miike Snow and Phoenix, as well as American songwriter Elliott Smith and Death Cab for Cutie. Musically and lyrically, fiction plays an important role in his songs. As Caspar says, "everything is built from scratch to form a fictitious universe that stands on its own, but at the same time hints at reality".
