The three members of Nostalgia live and breathe hip-hop with hip-hop being the chosen outlet to document the world around them.

Separately QuiKMonEE, J. Soul and D.R.A.M.A.T.I.C, they have been performing collectively for over 10 years but it wasn't until they came together as Nostalgia that something happened. It was nothing short of lighting in a bottle and as soon as they first took to the stage as Nostalgia all three just knew they possessed the chemistry needed for success.  QuiKMonEE, J. Soul and D.R.A.M.A.T.I.C. along with producer Jake Case are involved in all aspects of composing what will be a Nostalgia song.  From the lyrics to the song arrangements to the initial beats of any given track, the three members are there from start to finish.  The sound of Nostalgia is raw, organic and modern while retaining the attitude and sensibility of what made the initial hip-hop greats such an inspiration.  Unlike many contemporaries who have a team of numerous producers or songwriters, Nostalgia work with two producers and the band is responsible for each composition.  Many early hip-hop pioneers simply had a microphone and turntables as a way for them to spread their message and this is the basic foundation of what sets Nostalgia from many contemporaries.  Instead of taking the easy way out, Nostalgia start with an idea without stopping until they have a living, breathing song.

Since their inception Nostalgia have shared the stage with Raekwon, The High Life, Brooklyn35 and Sean Price.  They will are currently scheduling a series of local album release shows here in western Mass as well as appearing with Biz Markie on June 28, 2014, in Albany NY.  While Nostalgia is a hip-hop group, their influence and appeal goes deep into other genres including R & B, heavy metal, gospel, folk and hard rock.  QuiKMonEE, J. Soul and D.R.A.M.A.T.I.C. all share vocal duties and can all work the crowd like the most seasoned professional all while having fun.  Fun is probably most identifiable quality of Nostalgia that isn't a musical influence.  While the band is serious, they won't shy away from having a genuine good time at any performance.

Their new full-length album to be released this spring, Timeless, will build on the momentum of their Summer Sampler EP released in 2011 and the So Cool EP released in 2012.  Nostalgia honor the spirit of DIY (do-it-yourself) and will be self-releasing this album on their own label.  Big things are about to happen for Nostalgia and their appearance on MakinMoves Mixtape Vol. 104 and "Timeless" are just the start.  This is their time, won't you join in the fun?
