Tuesday 26th May 2015

London Troubadour Paul Orwell possesses a unique talent in his ability to create the music, attitude and ambience of the mid sinister sixties beat period with an assuring knowledge of his place in today’s society.

Fred Perry Subculture are now pleased to premiere the latest video from Paul Orwell, the sublime 60s-infused track 'You're Nothing Special' which is accomanied by a film by Fancy Lamp, loosely based on a scene from the 1966 film Blow-up, and featuring Paul as a blasé, dismissive photographer and a fed-up, mod model.

Constantly growing a cult following, Paul Orwell's debut album - Blowing Your Mind Away is now ready for preorder at Heavy Soul Records, on Vinyl only, here.

With an extensive record collection encompassing Soul, Freakbeat, Rhythm & Blues, Gospel, Folk and late ‘60s Rock, Paul has taken elements of all these fantastic genres and come up with an album filled with moments of genius incorporating the talents of Phil Spector, The Pretty Things, The Beatles, The Who and many other influential bands.
