New album "Life & Livin’ It" and London gig

Acclaimed jazz/funk crossover artist, Sinkane AKA Ahmed Gallab, returns with his new album ‘Life & Livin’ It’ released 10th February (2017) heralded by its funky uplifting lead single 'U'Huh'. The song is built around the phrase"Kulu shi tamaam" an Arabic phrase which translates as"Everything is great!". Watch the video below.

‘Life & Livin’ It’ is the follow-up to Sinkane’s acclaimed 2015 album‘Mean Love,’ for which the band played 166 shows in 20 countries. In the same year Ahmed Gallab also led The Atomic Bomb Band, a 15-piece outfit that played the music of the late Nigerian electro-funk maestro William Onyeabor. The band included Damon Albarn, David Byrne, members of Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, Jamie Lidell and legendary jazz musicians Pharoah Sanders and Charles Lloyd.

Sinkane will play The Dome in London on 29 March.
