The Darcys - Horses Fell

Friday 7th February 2014

Canadian art rock quartet The Darcys have unveiled the video for new track 'Horses Fell', a dreamy shoegaze-infused track with powerful guitar melodies and cascading, harmonious melodies.

The video was filmed by Michael Maxxis in Reno, Nevada earlier this year, who states:

"This video follows Sonny Castille, a former Vegas lounge singer who lost everything to drug addiction. He moved to Reno, so he could disappear. I met Sonny at a slot machine in the Sands Hotel at 2am, and was moved by his story. It is a story that is presented in his eyes. It is a real story of loss, and I felt it would be an affecting narrative for the Horses Fell music video."

The Darcys are comprised of Jason Couse [vocals, guitar, keys], Wes Marksell [drums], Michael le Riche [guitar, synth, vocals] and Dave Hurlow [bass]. Their critically acclaimed album Warring is out in the UK March 24 via Arts & Crafts/PIAS,  described as a "pretty hybrid of Local Natives and Atoms For Peace".

Warring was produced by Tom Mcfall [Stars, Bloc Party] and mixed by Dave Schiffman [Rage Against The Machine, System Of The Down]. The album was written over three years and recorded in Toronto during the final six months of 2012 with a focus on sonic detail inspired by studio opuses of the 1970s.
