The Ties

Video premiere for 'The Showtime'

Monday 25th April 2016

Italian Britpop outift The Ties premiere their video for 'The Showtime' here on Fred Perry Subculture. It is the second release from their EP 'What's Next?'.

The Ties formed in 2013 by lead singer Matt, who enlisted Matteo on drums, Raffaele on keyboards, and Roberto on bass. They have been making waves in their homeland of Italy since the release of their 'What's Next?' EP back in November 2015, it's title is perhaps a homage to The Who's 1971 album 'Who's Next'.

Like the original wave of Britpop bands they cite influences such as The Who, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix & Pink Floyd. Their aim was to recreate that gritty, vintage, British rock sound whilst retaining their contemporary style.

The video preimiered below, was directed by Directed by Max Gordiani (One More Lab Production) and the track, titled 'The Showtime' features sweeping Oasis-esque guitars and big vocal hooks throughout.

What's next EP Tracklist
