Name?
Kyle Falconer

Where are you from?
Dundee

What do you do?
Lead singer in The View.

Describe your style in three words?
Whatever looks best.

If you could make a record with anyone from history?
John Lennon, 'In My Life'. It was the first song that really got me into The Beatles, I always felt there was a certain strange feeling around the vocals and would have loved to have been there when the vocals were being done. It means a lot to me, I can really relate to it. It’s special.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Paul McCartney at the Roundhouse in Camden, 'No More Lonely Nights'. It was the first time I’d seen Paul live and it was astonishing to be so close to someone you idolise, it was very emotional and I got to meet him after.

What British music icons inspire your sound today?
The Clash, 'Stay Free'.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Michael Jackson, I idolised him as a kid and would have loved to dissect his musical brain for an hour.

Which British subculture means the most to you?
I’d say punk, because being a big Beatles fan I never got introduced to punk until later on in my musical writing and when I discovered The Clash, it took over my life, I couldn’t believe what I had been missing.

If you could share the bill with any British band in history?
I’ve played with Noel Gallagher at the Royal Albert Hall and we played a couple slots down from Oasis at Benicàssim, that in itself was a big dream but it would be great to actually support Oasis on the same bill as they were my childhood heroes growing up.

What music did you listen to growing up?
Like previously mentioned, The Beatles, Oasis, The Clash but I also loved Alanis Morrisette and Crowded House.
