03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

James Patrick Page.

The first track you played on repeat?

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - Remastered 2009

I used to listen to the whole album every night when I went to sleep as a kid, it was my favourite.

A song from your favorite album?

Bob Dylan - One of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later)

I grew up listening to this album. All of his albums really, I have so many favourites.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Neil Young - Down by the River - 2009 Remaster

A few years ago I saw Neil Young play in LA with my dad, he played this song as the sun was going down, with The Promise of the Real. They played it for over 30 minutes I’ll never forget. I also saw Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney that night but that moment seemed so relevant.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Jacques Dutronc - Les cactus

There was a little dance/smoking room at a house I was staying at last summer, me and my best friend played this song probably 10 times a night.

A new song you're listening to?

Parliament - Come In Out Of The Rain

Honestly, I haven’t been listening to new music lately, but this song is ever so relevant right now.

Best song to turn up loud?

The Rolling Stones - Can't You Hear Me Knocking - 2009 Mix

Every song on this album should be turned up loud.

A song that defines the teenage you?

David Bowie - Soul Love - 2012 Remaster

This was my favourite song when I was 16, it will always remind me of that time.

An anthemic song?

Marvin Gaye - What's Going On

This song is just as relevant today as it was when it came out.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain

What is there to say about 'Maggot Brain'.
