The Reissues collection takes the Fred Perry archive as its starting point. Each piece references the styles and stories of the subcultural uniform. The V-neck jumper was originally designed in the ‘50s for warming up on the tennis court. It later became a smart staple for subcultural icons and teenagers alike. The perfect frame for the collar and button placket of a shirt, the V-neck was also worn as a statement of classroom rebellion. Like their older siblings, the kids wore the Laurel Wreath to bend the rules, without breaking them. Handed down through families and used as goalposts on football fields, this version is made from an acrylic-blend, making it tough and able to retain its colour.
