Name
Duncan Stafford

Where are you from?
I was born in Elderslie just outside Glasgow.

Describe your style in three words?
Black White & fuzzy.

If you could photograph anyone from history?
Salvador Dali had such a great look and presence, if he was busy I'd settle for Muhammed Ali.

Another you? What job would you have done?
I always wanted to front a band. I think I am quite introverted however put a mic in my hand and I'm off as soon as the people are listening.

Which photographers inspire your work?
Jim Marshall is probably my favourite photographer. He captured the rise of the hippy movement in San Francisco at the end of the '60s. It's an incredible piece of documentary photography, really transports you.

Don McCullin for his conflict photography, so powerful that the Sunday Times magazine stopped using his work.

Miron Zownir is another favourite. He captured a very dark side of New York in the '70s, it's otherworldly.

You could photograph any three bands on the same bill?
Not sure about what order they would appear, however, The Cramps, The Doors and Beethoven.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
It was the Cramps when they played Glasgow Barrowlands sometime in the 90's I think.
