'Pack Up Bye Bye' - Ska from Essex

Wednesday 29th July 2015

One of Britain’s most acclaimed Ska bands, New Town Kings are a 9-piece from Colchester, Essex, known for their vibrant live shows, warm rhythms and catchy, enticing melody hooks which take on a Jamaican reggae/ska pop sound. Formed in 2007, New Town Kings have a sound similar to fellow Londoners The Skints, as well as The Slackers, who they are performing alongside in Germany this September, the band have an undeniably unique creativity about them which is simply incomparable.

Having released their storming inaugural EP Pull Up and Rewind last year, the band are back with brand new single, 'Pack Up Bye Bye', the video for which you can view below.

A perfect dance-reggae tune with addictive melodies and enticing vocals, frontman Dabs Bonner comments on the track, states “the lyrics explores themes of relationship angst to the backdrop of a timeless New Town groove”.
