BBC Radio 6 Music have revealed that none other than Terry Hall will fill in for regular Sunday afternoon host, Jarvis Cocker, throughout February with the first show going out on Sunday 2nd at 4pm.
Terry Hall will be the first in a series of guest presenters filling the slot, as Jarvis Cocker takes a year-long break from the show.
Jarvis Cocker explained to the Radio Times, "Crop Rotation has long been recognized as a way of preserving the fertility of the soil. Every now and again, a field has to be left fallow for a year in order to make sure it has time to recover. In 2014 I will be that field. T’is done with the firm conviction that it will lead to a stronger and more vigorous Sunday Service when I return to 6 Music’s pastures".
Known as front-man of The Specials as well as his solo projects and Fun Boy Three, Terry Hall is no stranger to the radio station, where he was interviewed in 2012 before DJing at Fred Perry's 60th anniversary party.
