The Computers

Exclusive Premiere of 'Crucifixed On You'

Wednesday 25th November 2015

Exeter five-piece, The Computers, embody more British subculture than most bands on the current scene. On top of this, they are some of the sharpest dressers around.

Fred Perry Subculture are very excited to present the exclusive premiere of the absolute stellar tune, 'Crucifixed On You', a song featured on their brand new EP 'Want the News, Here's the Blues', out 27th November on One Little Indian.

Serving as taster for their third album due in Spring 2016, ‘Want The News, Here’s The Blues’ is an explosive mix of raw rock ‘n roll sliced with soul and blues – a welcome back hook laden pop punk dancefloor smasher produced and mixed by David McEwan (Plan B, Nitin Sawhney).

The band released their last album ‘Love Triangles, Hate Squares’ in 2013 and were described by one mag as “Exeter soul punks with a whole lotta shakin ’goin’ on” and singles such as ‘Disco Sucks’ and Mr Saturday Night’ were played on Radio1, 6 Music and Xfm amongst others.  With a ferocious live reputation gained by consistent gigging over the years, the band have just played three secret sold out shows (London, Manchester and Brighton)  for fans to christen the new tunes which will be on the record and to also introduce new members James Mattock (guitar)and Tom McMahon (bass).   They join vocalist Al Kershaw, Aidan Sin (drums), and Fred Ansell (keys).

Vocalist Al explains the title track “The first line of this song states times are hard, yes things are tough all overand they really are. I knew the feeling I wanted to project with this song. I knew it wasn't a love song....it was a life song.   We have all felt the grind of day to day life/love & work so for better or worse that's what this song is about. You want the news, here's the blues.
