Name, where are you from?
KAM-BU, London.

What do you do?
Rhythm and poetry.

Describe your style in three words?
Honest. Authentic. Lively.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Hiatus Kaiyote.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Rage Against The Machine. Love their passion energy crazy riffs and hard-hitting instrumentation. Mount Kimbie. Their melodic arrangements and Erie sound design is always an experience.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Reggae, dub, punk, rock, and indie. The different levels of instrumentation arrangement and energy which can all be explored so differently within a body of work compared to the generic form of most rap songs is definitely something I think about trying to incorporate into my music. Also, the lyricism and how words are expressed have influenced my writing.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Probably Robert Nesta Marley. He seemed to have achieved a level of inner peace and understanding from the outside looking in but I’d just want to see if he was a regular guy haha.

Of all the independent venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Scala and because it was the largest show I’ve done yet.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Jehst. Greatest UK rapper to ever touch the microphone in my humble opinion.
