03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Clean minimal and eclectic.

The first track you played on repeat?

Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle

Whenever I need a pump. Back then we didn't have phones. So a CD player was all we had, I remember my elder brother bought 'Appetite For Destruction' by Guns n Roses and it was the first track on the list, and since then I can't stop listening to it.

A song from your favorite album?

Kendrick Lamar - good kid

Everywhere. The beat the lyrics, everything about this song is on point in my opinion. Growing up in Delhi wanting to become was not easy. So this song always keeps me motivated.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Maceo Plex - Conjure Dreams

Takes me back to my first proper gig from when I used to live in New York. Seeing my favourite DJ in a perfect setting. It takes me right back there, right next to the speaker.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Chris Liebing - Trilogy - ANNA Remix

Dark and tasty. How I like my dancing music. Two techno heavyweights doing their thing.

A new song you're listening to?

Mall Grab - Liverpool Street In The Rain

Not really new, but new for me. I recently discovered this song. Since I live right by Liverpool Street I like it even more.

Best song to turn up loud?

Frank Ocean - Nights

Top banger, gets everyone going.

A song that defines the teenage you?

Jay Rock - WIN

This song did not exist when I was a teenager. But since I heard it for the first time it just merges with my teenage and current mentality of just doing me and no one else.

An anthemic song?

Taylor Gang - Bombay and Lemonade

This song was played on repeat during an 8 hour road trip with my best friends to the hills in India. Since then it holds a special place and has become our anthem literally. We also love gin n lemonade.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Fritz Kalkbrenner - Just The One

Sweet, melodic and mega emotive. Great song to relax to on the down.
