Fred Perry Tokyo

Experimental Japanese musician Kan Sano kicks up a storm for fans in Fred Perry Tokyo.

With queues around the corner, Kan Sano has gained a bit of a cult following over the past few years. Trained in classical and jazz from an early age, the musician now has the keyboard, drums, guitar and trumpet under his belt – and he’s not afraid to play all four during performances. Jumping from instrument to instrument, Kan Sano fuses jazz, soul and hip-hop in an up-beat show.

Support came from electronic artist and Japanese newcomer Hakushi Hasegawa, whose chaotic sounds have definite jazz influences, which come through at breakneck pace.
