Inspired by punk’s heroines, British womenswear brand, Le Kilt reimagines the Fred Perry Shirt with patches cut and stitched in a chequerboard design. Trimmed with contrast champagne stitching and one mother-of-pearl button on the placket. Finished with twin tipping and Le Kilt’s signature kilt pin.
British womenswear brand Le Kilt was founded by Sam McCoach, whose granny’s handmade kilts sparked a passion for traditional techniques and craftsmanship. McCoach draws on the idea of timeless designs – used, repaired and passed onto the next generation, as well as the punk heroines of the ‘70s and beyond. She adapts the Fred Perry Shirt using a punk DIY approach: safety pins and rough-cut patches stitched to the front.
