Name, where are you from?
Sofie, born in California to Austrian and Iranian parents.

A British icon that has inspired you?
David Bowie.

Most meaningful lyrics to inspire change?
I’m not sure about lyrics, but the live recording of “Wild and Peaceful” by Kool and the Gang for The First Annual Benefit for the Congressional Black Caucus is incredible.

What is your all-time favourite gig?
I recently played for two hours for NTS’ 6th birthday party at Corsica Studios, and that was pretty fun! If I could turn back the time, then it would have to be this night we used to throw in LA when I was working at Stones Throw, 56 at Mr T’S Bowl in Highland Park.

What was the first thing you played on repeat?
Air - Playground Love.

A Song from your favourite album?

A disco single, Feel The Drive by Doctor’s Cat.

Twylyte 81 - The First Coming.

10cc - I’m Not in Love.
