Describe your style in three words?
Vampiric, tomboy, novelty.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Thee Oh Sees at End of the Road

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Ian Dury and The Blockheads
Beastie Boys 

Which subcultures have influenced you?
The Manchester Rave scene and all my beautiful skinhead and punk mates.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
MF Doom is a very mysterious guy, and you can tell he likes comics so that could be fun. “Sofa King”

Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
The Lexington in Angel was fun, the crowd was as good as the food, and the food was divine.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Pussy Liquor because they’re the best live act you can see for less than a tenner in London. “Get out”


Suzi Wu featured as part of our British New Wave 2018. Her debut EP, 'Teenage Witch' garnered high profile attention with its genre-blurring self-taught DIY urban-pop, drawing comparisons to the like of Ian Dury.

Suzi Wu will release her next EP 'Error 404' on Friday 22nd March 2019, watch the video for the title track below.
