Name, where are you from?
Holly Ross and David Blackwell. We're from Lancaster.

What do you do?
We're musicians and frigging layabouts. One plays drums. The other plays guitar.

Describe your style in three words.
Mod vs tramp.

What’s it like being a musician in the North of England today?
For us, it's hard to know what it would be like to be a musician anywhere else. Always have been. Always will be. It's shit and it's great in equal measures. Like the best things in life.

What has inspired your latest album?
Well, there's been a lot of shit going down in the world over the past couple of years. Stuff that has made us feel like aliens living on our own planet. The world has gone f*cking nuts. What people call “normal” life is completely ridiculous so a lot of the album is about that. Calling out bullshit and flying the flag for the freaks. We've always felt like outsiders, but nowadays it's like we're cosmonauts who've landed on a f*cking hostile planet. So we've built our own world living up in Lancaster. It's Eggland. It's an alternative reality and yer welcome to come round anytime.

How should your music be listened to?
With a can of Strongbow at the frigging front!

What’s it like being on tour as a family?
It's the best of everything really. You get to go on tour and plays gigs and meet people and have a party. You also get to spend loads and loads of time with your kid and yer not sick into carrier bags anymore. No cyclops hangovers. Plenty of ball pools. Good fun with the eggs crew. Pretty much like an amazing holiday with yer family and mates with plenty of laughs and free booze.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
The Make-Up in Liverpool. American rock n roll done right. Seeing Damo Suzuki at the Garage in London was also pretty f*cking special.

Which British icons inspire your sound today?
John Cooper Clarke, X-Ray Spex, Mark E Smith, Ivor Cutler we suppose. They're British and we like 'em.
