Name, where are you from?
WITCH FEVER - Amy, Alisha, Alex, Annabelle. Based in Manchester.

Describe your style in three words?
Androgynous, Punk, Grunge.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Slowdive in New York. They are my favourite band and it was the first time I had seen them. They played at Terminal 5 in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. It was so good I cried my eyes out!

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
IDLES - They’re making sick music and opening up conversations surrounding feminism, sexism, abuse and toxic masculinity through it.
Savages - Favourite post-punk band of all time and they are the coolest people to ever exist.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Riot Grrrl, Punk, Grunge, Goth.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Lou Reed, so we could discuss his lyrics, approach to songwriting, musical and literary influences.

Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Deaf Institute! Great sound, a lovely space, and there’s a huge disco ball – what more can you want? Plus the last time we played there was one of the first female sound engineers we’ve ever had, so that was really nice too.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Elizabeth Fraser as her voice and melodies are so unique and beautiful.

Witch Fever are a Manchester based all-girl punk grunge band. They have just finished a mini-tour around the Netherlands and will play The Lending Room in Leeds on Halloween. They are also headlining a show in Manchester on the 16th of November at Hive to raise money for Maggie’s cancer care charity.

They are currently working on a new single to be released in the near future.
